Umicore SA (anciennement Union Minière) est une multinationale de technologie des matériaux dont le siège est à Bruxelles, en Belgique.
Formé en 1989 par la fusion de quatre sociétés de l’industrie minière et la fonte, Umicore s’est depuis transformer en une entreprise plus axée sur la technologie qui englobe les domaines tels que le raffinage et le recyclage des métaux précieux et la fabrication de produits spécialisés tel que le cobalt , le germanium, le zinc, etc. Pour symboliser cette tendance de s’éloigner de l’exploitation minière vers la production de produits de métaux précieux, le groupe Union Minière a changé son nom à Umicore en 2001.

Les lingots d’Umicore sont certifiés par la LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) car ils sont inscrits sur la liste « LBMA Gold List ». Cette liste évalue la qualité des lingots et atteste s’ils sont conformes aux normes fixées par la LBMA et donc autorisés sur le London Bullion Market. La Gold List de la LBMA, de loin la plus importante et renommée au monde, est la référence internationale pour ce marché.
